This was a total download upon waking up this morning. As I'm finishing up my website and getting ready to launch this business and envisioning what it can grow into, the Holy Spirit just spoke directly to me literally as i awoke. Giving, growing and gratitude are foundational concepts of the Kingdom. Keep my eyes fixed on Him. Let's break this down for a moment.
Giving: Be a cheerful giver is a word of advice you will find in the bible... we know that when we are focused on someone other than ourselves, we can gain perspective of what is important. We can see and feel how giving to someone else changes our focus and keeps us in a place of action. And doesn't it feel good when you find a special gift that you know your friend will so love? Giving pulls out joy from within.
Growing: When we are in a contant state of giving, it will grow us up to new levels of learning, understanding and ultimately revelation. We can put into practice new habits and find ourselves expanding emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.
Gratitude: As with most Kingdom principles, I don't think God meant for gratitude to be based upon things we obtain within our own power and skillset. While there is much to be thankful for when getting a new promotion or landing that part after an audition or for accomplishing potty training of your new puppy, I'm talking about the kind of gratitude that has brought you through the impossible. And all of those things may have felt impossible and were. But when we can look to our Creator and see where our gifts come from, that is the eternal gratitude that warms the soul and fuels momentum. When we can rest in the peace that passes all understanding amidst serious tragedy, that is gratitude in above. Knowing we can't do it all by ourselves but grateful for a God that wants a personal relationship with us and will direct our steps when we keep our eyes fixed on Him. I say, let that gratitude swell up in your heart.
And when these three things collide you are on a course to truly make a difference. Welcome to heaven on earth. Join us for this crazy ride as we give, grow and bring gratitude to God for all He has done and will do in our lives.
